Police seek suspect in Etobicoke bank robbery investigation

WATCH: Toronto police have released an image of a suspected bank robber in an effort to identify him. The robbery took place at Islington and Bathurst.

TORONTO – Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man caught on security camera for allegedly robbing a bank in Etobicoke earlier this summer.

It was reported that a man walked into a CIBC bank in the Islington Avenue and Rathburn Road area on Aug. 28 at 3:10 p.m. where he confronted a teller and demanded cash.

The suspect presented a note and indicated he was armed with a gun.

The man then left with a quantity of money and was last seen walking westbound on Rathburn Road.

He is described as 5’9″ to 5’11”, 190 to 200 pounds, heavy build, moustache, and has facial hair. He was wearing a black pullover hoodie and black baggy pants.
