TORONTO – Transit users are being advised to expect delays this morning for those traveling westbound between Yonge and Dundas West stations as repair work continues following Tuesday’s tunnel puncture.
Silt and rain water made its way onto the track floor at Dundas West station during yesterday’s morning rush-hour after the tunnel was breached by Metrolinx contractors.

Service was suspended between St. George and Ossington stations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. causing commuter chaos.
The Toronto Transit Commission deployed shuttle buses but many riders complained about packed buses and insufficient information.
TTC officials say the tunnel patch work is only a temporary solution until a permanent fix can be found.
