MONTREAL — A man is out of danger after being hit by a vehicle in an apparent case of road rage Sunday in Montreal’s Pointe-aux-Trembles district.

For reasons that police have not yet been able to clarify, an argument broke out between two drivers around 11 a.m. on Sherbrooke street, near 36th and 39th avenues, according to Jean-Pierre Brabant with Montreal police.

A 29-year-old man got out of his vehicle to go toward the other, but was hit by that vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old man.

The victim, who suffered trauma to his head, was transported to a hospital, where he remained in critical condition on Sunday night.

His condition improved Monday and he was taken off the critical list.

The other man was arrested at the scene and met with police investigators.
