PENTICTON, B.C. — A Penticton RCMP officer may face criminal charges after an incident last spring. Police arrested a woman last April and released her from custody later that day. Ten days later she contacted RCMP saying she had sustained an injury to her arm while in custody.

The RCMP reported the incident to the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) which determined the officer may have committed an offence.

It’s now up to Crown Counsel to determine if charges will be laid against the officer.
