TORONTO – Police have one suspect in custody after more than 20 vehicles were damaged overnight in Toronto.
Officers received a 9-1-1 call just after midnight to find 24 vehicle windows smashed and tires slashed located in an outdoor apartment building parking lot on Fenelon Drive near Don Mills and York Mill in North York.
It’s unclear if any items were stolen from within the vehicles.
Global News video from the scene shows several broken golf clubs next to the crime scene.
Police say a 16-year-old youth has been arrested but it is believed more suspects may be involved.
Prior to the incidents, police say the suspect also robbed a man of his cell phone in the area.
Police are urging anyone with information about the break-ins to come forward.
