Hundreds line up outside Calgary Apple store awaiting iPhone 6 release

CALGARY – Hundreds of people gathered outside of the Apple store at Chinook Centre on Friday, hoping to be among the first to purchase the latest iPhone.

The latest versions of the product are the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, both of which are taller and wider than previous iPhones.

The person at the front of the line is Sam Nakutnok, who arrived at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

“I love Apple,” he said. “They make really good products. Basically, I come here every year – every launch – and always lineup.”
