REGINA – There was no shortage of excitement on day two of the royal provincial tour, as the Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, arrived at the Centennial building at the RCMP Depot Division Thursday morning.
There, he presented the Duke of Edinburgh’s award to 24 recipients from across the country.
“When you walk out of this room a little later, just walk a few inches taller. It’s a bit scary because one or two of you are a bit tall already, so just mind the door as you go out,” joked Prince Edward.
After leaving the crowd roaring with laughter, His Royal Highness inspected a march on the parade square.
Later in the afternoon, nearly one hundred people gathered outside Government House to greet him.
Prince Edward wraps up his tour of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and Swift Current Friday.
