KELOWNA, BC — The City of Kelowna says much progress has been made in the Lakeshore Road bridge project, but intersection construction will create more traffic congestion.

Construction work at the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Lexington Drive is now underway.

Commuters are advised to use old Meadows, Lequime or Dehart roads to and from Gordon Drive.

Businesses are still open on Lakeshore Road, but customers may experience some delays at Lexington Drive.

The City says the $11-million improvement project is on schedule for completion in November.
