VIDEO ABOVE: Sun, Sep 14: The hunt is on for a killer tonight after a double shooting here in the city. Just after midnight, two men were shot near a restaurant at the corner of Markham Road and Greencrest Circuit.
TORONTO – Toronto police are investigating a fatal shooting at a Scarborough pizza parlour.
Investigators say 31-year old Abdul Monir was killed early Sunday morning, during what they suspect was a botched robbery attempt.
Monir, a father of two young children, was hired at the Pizza Time restaurant just two weeks ago.
A second man, believed to be the owner of the business, was critically wounded.
Police say witnesses told them they saw a man run from the restaurant after the shooting and jump in a car that sped away.
The car is thought to be an older model, four-door Honda or Toyota, beige or silver in colour.
