EDMONTON – It’s been 34 years since Terry Fox ran the ‘Marathon of Hope’ but his legacy continues to shine across the country.

On Sunday, Canadians across the country participated in the Terry Fox Run, including hundreds in Edmonton.

“That shows how much of an impact Terry has had on all of our lives, that we keep going with his dream,” said Darrin Park, Terry Fox Run organizer.

According to organizers, more than one million Canadians will participate in about 6,000 Terry Fox Runs and school runs across the country.

The Terry Fox Foundation has raised more than $650-million for cancer research.
