Two wanted people arrested during traffic blitz in Watrous, Sask.

WATROUS, Sask. – A RCMP member arrested two wanted suspects during a Thursday traffic blitz in Watrous, Sask.

Shortly after 3 p.m., the officer observed a vehicle speeding in a school zone and a traffic stop was conducted.

During the investigation, it was found that both people, from Saskatoon, had outstanding warrants.

The 25-year-old female driver was arrested on traffic related warrants from Saskatoon Police Service and the University of Saskatchewan protective services.

The 22-year-old male passenger was also arrested on traffic related warrants from Hudson Bay RCMP detachment.

Both were later released with court dates scheduled in October.

Watrous is approximately 95 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
