TORONTO – Hot on the heels of Apple unveiling its first wearable device, talk of yet another potential smartwatch is making the rounds.

Earlier this week, in an interview with Computerworld, president of BlackBerry Enterprise Solutions John Sims hinted towards the possibility of a BlackBerry wearable device.

Sims revealed the Waterloo, Ontario-based company is doing internal research on both smartwatches and smartglasses.

“I would love to have…BBM on a wearable,” Sims said in the article. “It’s definitely an area of research for us.”

The device is said to be a larger smartphone, designed for business users who need bigger screens to view documents. Apple also released a larger 5.5-inch iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 6 Plus, Tuesday.

Though it’s still unknown if BlackBerry is really developing a smartwatch, some Twitter users are already poking fun at the idea with their own ideas of how the device may look.
