ST. WALBURG, Sask. – RCMP are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that happened Saturday night near St. Walburg, Sask.
At 10 p.m., Mounties were called to the crash where a 38-year-old man had been struck by a southbound vehicle around five kilometres south of St. Walburg, Sask.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and his name has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
According to the initial investigation, the deceased was wearing dark clothing while walking on Highway 26.
Traffic was temporarily restricted while a collision analyst investigated.
St. Walburg is approximately 240 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
