RIVERVIEW, N.B. – A man managed to escape unharmed from his burning home in Riverview on Thursday.
The fire broke out in a row of townhouses on Suffolk Street around 6 p.m., forcing eight people including three children from their homes.

One unit was extensively damaged in the blaze, while two others sustained smoke damage.
There were no injuries, but Riverview fire Chief Denis Pleau says some pets were killed.
The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
