Weather update: Thursday August 28th 5:30pm
We had big differences in the Okanagan today – at around 2pm, it was 17C in Kelowna and 30C in Osoyoos!
Sky conditions were also varied, depending on your location.
And the variations will continue as a broad upper trough pushing into Western Canada this weekend will keep unsettled conditions in the forecast.
A drier start on Friday with sunny breaks for some areas, but afternoon showers will make their way into parts of the Southern Interior.
By Friday afternoon, many communities in the Shuswap and Columbia regions will be showery.
A good chance of Friday afternoon showers will be in the forecast for the North Okanagan, and a 40% chance of showers will be in the forecast for the Central Okanagan.
In general, the farther south you are, the drier it will be over the next couple of days, with the South Okanagan only seeing a 30% chance of afternoon showers Friday and Saturday.
Friday’s High: 18 to 26C
