A woman has succumbed to her injuries after a collision at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 519, near Nobleford.
The Nobleford Barons Fire Department and Picture Butte RCMP were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m. Monday, causing serious congestion for travellers.
An SUV was attempting to make a left-hand turn from Highway 23 onto Highway 519 westbound, while a semi-truck was attempting to turn east onto Highway 519.
The SUV was struck on the passenger side by a different southbound semi-truck.
The 80-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to Lethbridge Regional Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, and no charges have been laid.
