Police have pulled a body from the Red River.

Around 1:30 Sunday afternoon, police, fire and paramedics were called to the Alexander docks for a body floating in the river.

A father and his son were walking their dog when they saw something in the water.

Police pulled the person from the Red River.

The fire chief told Global News the body has not been identified as a man or woman and the medical examiner was headed to the scene.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit and no further information is available at this time.
