A Surrey RCMP officer was treated and released from hospital after a frightening crash overnight.
The incident happened around 10:30 last night on King George Boulevard at 77th Avenue, an intersection that does not have a traffic light.
For reasons that are still under investigation, the officer lost control, flipping the cruiser onto its roof.
Emergency crews had to deploy the jaws of life to get the officer out.
He escaped with just scratches and bruises.
Surrey RCMP aren’t confirming whether he was being dispatched to a call at the time.
The cruiser suffered significant damage and may be a write-off.
