UPDATE (8/14/2014): A spokesperson for the City of Fredericton says Michael Joseph Gaudet was located by police Wedensday evening and is currently in custody. The original story is below.
FREDERICTON – Fredericton Police are asking for help from the public in trying to located a man who stole a quantity of pills from a Fredericton pharmacy.
The robbery happened at the Regent Street Shoppers Drug Mart on Tuesday. Fifty seven-year-old Michael Joseph Gaudet entered the pharmacy at about 3:00 p.m. and “demanded medication.”
Gaudet is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’11”, 170lbs, with brown eyes, long brown hair and a full beard.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Gaudet are asked to call the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300 or Crime Stoppers.
If you do come in contact with Gaudet, police are advising the public not to approach him, and call the police immediately.
