Winnipeggers treated to scorching August

Lauren McNabb/Global News

WINNIPEG-After a slow start to summer, Winnipeggers are being treated to some serious sun.

Every day in August has been 25 degrees or warmer, except two. And the rest of the week is expected to be just as warm.

After the worst winter on record, with more days with windchills below -30 than ever before, Winnipeg has also seen six days of plus 30 temperatures.

But it still has a way to go if it wants to hit the norm.

Typically Winnipeg sees 13 days of plus 30 degree temperatures.
