Fire bans lifted for Southern Alberta

CALGARY – The province has lifted a number of fire bans throughout the southern part of Alberta after more than 10 mm of precipitation fell throughout the region on Wednesday.
A number of provincial parks under the ban will now allow camp fires ahead of the long weekend.

o Jensen Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
o Chain Lakes Provincial Park
o Lake McGregor Provincial Recreation Area
o Little Bow Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
o Lundbreck Falls Provincial Recreation Area
o Maycroft Provincial Recreation Area
o Oldman Dam Provincial Recreation Area
o Oldman River Provincial Recreation Area
o Payne Lake Provincial Recreation Area
o Police Outpost Provincial Park
o St. Mary Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
o Travers Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
o Waterton Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
o Woolford Provincial Recreation Area

The County of Rockyview has also lifted the fire ban it implemented last week.
