WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Drew Willy has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Willy completed 31 of 43 passes for 361 yards and one touchdown in the Bombers’ 27-26 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Thursday. He sits second in league passing yards at 1,662.

“Any league recognition like this, as I have said before, is about our entire offence, our game planning by the coaching staff and the ability to go out and execute it,” said Willy.

The CFL’s first-place Blue Bombers (5-1) return home Thursday following two straight games on the road to host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (3-2). The game will mark the first time Willy faces his former team since signing with Winnipeg in the off-season.
