Police have laid charges in the city’s 34th homicide of the year.
Mason Tex Montgrand, 21, was stabbed to death at the Edmonton Institution on August 16th.

Another inmate at the facility, Lance Matthew Shane Regan, 24, has now been charged with first degree murder in Montgrand’s death.
The death marked the second homicide at the Edmonton Institution this year.
