Evacuation alerts lifted in south Okanagan

Fire and retardant lines seen from the air over the Apex Mountain wildfire . Global Okanagan

NEAR PENTICTON — Heavy rainfall has helped the fire fight in the south Okanagan, so much so now the evacuation alert for homes near the Jura and Apex Mountain fires has been lifted.

The alert affected the following properties:

Apex Mountain Fire

Apex Mountain Road: 18, 20, 22, 26, 108, 146

Green Mountain Road: 1907, 1918, 1925, 1940, 1992, 1995, Burlington Ranch (Lot 5,Plan KAP70897 DL 1799 SDYD)

Jura Fire:

105 to 136 Country Lane

120 to 145 Jellico Road
