CALGARY – Two young men have been charged with murder after an 18-year-old man succumbed to injuries he sustained in an assault, earlier this month.
Ayuen Ajak Goot, also known as Devon Goot, died late Tuesday night after being found unconscious at a strip mall in Radisson Heights.
An autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Ojullo Mark Ojullo, 20, and Shannoh Jabet, 19, were arrested on Wednesday and are each facing one count of second-degree murder.
Police say the assault was not random and that the suspects were known to the victim.
Goot’s death is the 19th homicide in Calgary this year.
