SASKATOON – People were left without power and downed trees dotted streets after a series of severe thunderstorms passed through Saskatoon and parts of Saskatchewan overnight Thursday.

In Saskatoon, power was out in many neighbourhoods and trees could be seen on streets on the west side of the city.

Lightning from the storm may have also sparked a house fire in Saskatoon.

Electricity outages were reported in several areas of the province after the storm toppled power lines from a damaged high-voltage transmission tower.

Here are some images from the storm. If you have any to share, sent them to us at saskatoon@globalnews.ca.
