TORONTO – There are several ways to properly kill an unwanted spider in your home, using spray paint and a lighter isn’t one of them.
A Seattle man watched his house go up in flames Tuesday after he tried to kill a spider he spotted in the laundry room.
According to KOMO News, the man told fire officials he used a can of spray paint and a lighter when the wall in the laundry room caught fire and quickly spread.
The blaze reportedly caused $40,000 in damages.
There’s no word if the spider survived.
No injuries were reported.
