Two adults in the vehicle and one outside the car suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident.

“All the people were transported to hospital and the little baby was pronounced dead,” said Sergeant Claude Denis of the Sûreté du Québec.

Police are still working to find out the cause of the accident.

They believe the vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the road because the car had stopped for a passenger crossing the highway.
