HALIFAX – Police have laid charges in connection with a
brawl in downtown Halifax that sent two men to hospital.
Officers responded to a report of men fighting in the area
of Blowers and Argyle streets today and found two men in their early 20s who
were injured.

One of the victims had a slash wound to his abdomen believed
to be from a knife, while another had a sprained ankle.
Three other males – witnesses to the fight who had tried to
intervene – were also found at the scene.
Police say two of them had been punched in the face.
Officers say two Halifax-area men, aged 22 and 25, face
charges of assault with a weapon, assault, uttering death threats and numerous
breaches of court orders.
