“My phone has been ringing constantly, with people wanting to know when Stanley Park pool is open,” laughs Mike Gavan from the Calgary Outdoor Swimming Pools Association.
The facility’s mechanical and electrical systems were wiped out, causing an estimated $700,000 damage. Finally there is good news for those looking to cool off, with the pool scheduled to reopen at noon on Tuesday.
