TORONTO – The Insurance Bureau of Canada estimates that the insurance cost of the tornado that struck Angus, Ont., last month is at least $30 million.
More than 100 homes were damaged and many residents were forced to live in emergency shelters or with friends and family during the cleanup process.
The amount of insured damages reported is a preliminary estimate by Property Claim Services, which tracks insured losses arising from catastrophic events in Canada.
