‘Special brownies’ seized at Alberta border crossing

CALGARY- Border officers at the Coutts border crossing in southern Alberta have made a sweet seizure.

On June 24, officers pulled over a vehicle for a secondary examination, and discovered two bags containing about two hundred brownies, allegedly containing marijuana. There was also 1.5 grams of suspected marijuana in the vehicle.

The two travellers were arrested for smuggling, and are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 18.
