PENHOLD, AB – Police are urging anyone who may have information relating to the death of a Penhold teen last August to come forward.
On August 12th, 2010 17-year-old Logan Jesse Raymond was found dead on the side of highway 2A one kilometre south of Red Deer.
Raymond was at a house party in Red Deer the evening of August 11th when he decided not to go to his mother’s nearby home but instead walk the 10 kilometres to his father’s house in Penhold.
He left the party around 11:30p.m. and was last seen around 12:45a.m. at the intersection of Highway 2A and the Highway 2 off-ramp northwest of the Word of Life Church. Twelve witnesses reported seeing Raymond walking home that evening.

An autopsy on Raymond determined he died of a severe injury to his head.
Investigators believe he may have been struck or clipped by a vehicle or have fallen out of a moving vehicle he was riding in.
During the early stages of the investigation a vehicle of interest was identified but has still not been found.
The evening he died, a parked truck was seen at the site where he was later discovered.
It is described as dark grey or blue with a matching topper with dark windows in the back and no windows on the side of the topper. It may have been an older model Ford Ranger with large prominent red lettering on the tailgate that read FORD.
Raymond was wearing a dark brown hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, blue jeans with a black and green checkerd belt and brown and black running shoes the night of his death.
RCMP are asking anyone with information that may be connected to Logan’s death to call (403) 885-3300 or (403) 885-3333.
