Armed standoff at Kinistin First Nations

What started out as an alleged stabbing for Tisdale RCMP ended up as an armed standoff at Kinistin First Nation early Tuesday morning.

RCMP later responded to a male caller threatening to harm himself with a firearm. Police were joined by backup at a residence on the Kinistin First Nation, where they began negotiations with a man outside the house.
