Regina offering help to communities affected by flooding

REGINA – The mayor of Regina says the city has a pretty good handle on its flood damage and is now offering to help other communities hit by the disaster.

Michael Fougere says Regina could supply flood equipment such as pumps to the cities of Melville and Yorkton.

The municipalities have an agreement where they do what they can to help each other out in times of need.

The City of Regina may also offer some workers.

The area around Melville and Yorkton was one of the hardest-hit regions following the weekend storms that dumped more than 200 millimetres of rain on eastern Saskatchewan.
