When the officers arrived they found the man up a tree, several metres off the ground. He refused to come down.

Mounties spent several hours talking with the man who was later rushed to hospital by ambulance after falling from the tree.

It is unclear what led the man to scale the tree in the first place. He is known to police for minor offences related to drug and alcohol.
