MONTREAL — An 81-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car on Queen Mary street in Côte-des-Neiges around 12:20 p.m. Monday.
He was struck by a car as he crossed the busy road near Westbury street.
“The vehicle was heading east and it collided with the pedestrian,”said Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant with the Montreal police.
The victim suffered serious head injuries from the impact and was taken to hospital.
He is in critical, but stable condition.
“Investigators are on the scene to determine who was at fault,” said Brabant.
The 28-year-old woman who was driving the car was treated for nervous shock.
This comes right after another accident at the intersection claimed an elderly woman’s life.
