HALIFAX – Firefighters were called to a home on Brian Street in East Preston early Friday morning.
The blaze was going strong when fire crews responded at around 2:00 a.m.
Division Commander Scott Shaffner said firefighters entered the home but the fire was too intense and they had to pull out.
Shaffner said he is unsure whether or not people were in the 2-storey home at the time of the fire.
Fire crews contained the fire to one house, but Shaffner said the home is destroyed.
Investigators will be at the East Preston home later Friday morning.
