MONTREAL – A 79-year-old Lachine man has died after his car rolled over on Highway 20 late Friday night.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near Woodland avenue in Beaconsfield.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the man was driving east when he appeared to lose control of the vehicle.
The SQ says he could have been driving impaired or suffered from a health related problem, such as a heart attack.
Speed could have also been a factor.
The man was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A second accident took place just 30 minutes later on Highway 40 year near Saint-Miche, involving a 56-year-old Montreal woman.
In both accidents, the drivers were alone and no other vehicles were involved.
