Woman pulled over while driving Rob Ford’s SUV to appear in court

TORONTO – The woman who was charged with impaired driving while behind the wheel of Mayor Rob Ford’s black escalade is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Lee Anne McRobb, 36, was pulled over shortly after 2:30 p.m. on May 20 in Bracebridge. She was charged with impaired driving.

She is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

The SUV was impounded for several days at a lot in Bracebridge before being picked up.

Rob Ford has been in a treatment facility since the beginning of May after taking a leave of absence from his job at Toronto city hall to deal with a “problem with alcohol.”

He’s expected to return to city hall and re-enter the ongoing mayoral campaign after July 1.
