CALGARY – Drivers who use Symons Valley Road may have to change their route for the next few months.
A portion of the thoroughfare will be closed completely as construction crews widen it to two lanes in each direction.
Starting on Monday, Symons Valley Road will be completely closed between 144 Avenue N.W. and Sage Meadow Circle.
The closure is expected to last until December 2014.
The City of Calgary says closing the road completely will be the quickest and safest way to complete the work, and the long-term benefits will outweigh the inconveniences.
Traffic will be directed to 144 Avenue N.W. via Sage Hill Drive.
Residents in the following areas will continue to have localized access via Symons Valley Road:
- Sage Meadows Circle
- Sage Meadows Way
- Sage Meadows Terrace
