EDMONTON – RCMP in Prince George have apprehended an Alberta inmate who escaped during an escorted temporary absence in the B.C. city last Friday.
The Correctional Service of Canada says Rodney Abraham is an inmate at the Grande Cache Institution, a federal medium security facility in western Alberta. The CSC was notified of his escape around 11:45 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014.

Abraham is serving a 12-year, seven-month sentence for robbery.
The 34-year-old was apprehended by officers around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday.
A full investigation into the circumstances around the escape has been launched by the CSC.
