One of two drivers in viral dash cam video charged

CALGARY – Police say charges have been laid in connection to a YouTube video showing dangerous driving on Crowchild Trail which went viral last month.

The video, uploaded by YouTube user Roman Kozubskyy on May 9th, shows a Ford Mustang Shelby travelling northbound on Crowchild Trail at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic.

The video appears to have been captured by a dash camera in a second vehicle, which was following along, also at a high rate of speed.

On Thursday, police announced Roman Kozubskyy, 22, has been charged with careless driving and speeding.

He is schedule to appear in court on June 27, 2014.

Police say they were unable to identify the driver of the Ford Mustang Shelby, and have since concluded their investigation.
