TORONTO – Rob Ford impersonators, this is your time to shine.

An open casting call for the upcoming “Rob Ford The Musical: The Birth of a Ford Nation” will be held at Toronto’s Second City Training Center next Monday.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Producers say it’s a “colour blind casting” and that a resemblance to the embattled Toronto mayor isn’t required.

Hopefuls must perform a one-minute comedy monologue and one pop, rock or comedy song. A headshot and resume are also required.

The stage show by Toronto-based Brett McCaig is described as “an unabashed, take-no-prisoners comedy” about Ford’s personal and political journey.

It’s set to open at Toronto’s Historic Factory Theatre on Sept. 16.
