Porter Airlines flights grounded due to computer error

TORONTO – Porter Airlines says all of its flights have been grounded at Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport because of computer outage.

The airline says on its Twitter feed that the problem is also affecting its website.

There’s no word on now long it will take to fix the problem.

Porter flights were similarly grounded last September, when a network outage that caused dozens of flight delays and cancellations.

In the previous incident, Porter attributed the problem to Navitaire, an airline outsourcing service owned by management consulting firm Accenture.

It is unclear what has caused the latest service outage.
