VANCOUVER – Oliver RCMP have launched an investigation after a woman’s body was found near the shore of Sawmill Lake.
Mounties first responded after reports of a disturbance near the shore of the lake. They found a woman’s body and deemed her death is suspicious. They have taken one person into custody but investigators believe there is no danger to the public.
No charges have yet been laid.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit with assistance from South Okanagan Detachment continue to investigate. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Oliver RCMP at 250-498-3422 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
