When you think of a winery, you likely think of a building in the middle of a vineyard.
But Kelowna’s newest winery is right in the heart of downtown.
Sandhill Wine is the premium brand produced by Calona Wines, the oldest winery in the Okanagan.
It was established in 1932 by Cap Capozzi, Giuseppe Ghezzi and WAC Bennett.

It sources it’s grapes from six local vineyards, to produce vineyard specific varieties.
It’s just opened a showcase building, open to visitors and special events.
Now wine loving tourists have one more stop in downtown Kelowna, and hopefully, will find more reasons to hang around in the heart of the city.
