TORONTO – A Tennessee man was charged with armed robbery last week after he went out on a limb and allegedly robbed a bank branch with a stick.
According to News 4 Jax in Jacksonville, Andrew Murray entered a SunTrust Bank in Florida Friday afternoon, flashed an object wrapped in a plastic bag, and yelled: “Nobody is going to get hurt if you give me $50,000 from the vault.”

Murray fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash and was arrested a short time later.

Witnesses told the Florida news station the object Murray allegedly pulled out at the bank was a stick.
The Memphis man was charged with armed robbery and resisting arrest without violence.
