VANCOUVER – Police are looking for a man they say allegedly stole a charity donation box from a McDonald’s in North Vancouver.
At about 3 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, police say the man approached the front counter of the McDonald’s on Westview Drive and stole the Ronald McDonald House charity donation box by putting it in his backpack.
Prior to doing this, police say the man purchased some food with a stolen credit card from a wallet that was allegedly taken from a nearby vehicle parked outside a home.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 30 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, with a medium build, brown beard and short hair. He was also wearing glasses and a black baseball cap.
Police are asking anyone who can identify the man on store surveillance to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311; quoting file number 2014-9427.
