Geography

This riding includes most of Thunder Bay north of the Harbour Expressway, along with large swaths of rural northern Ontario extending east along Lake Superior to the town of Marathon.

Liberal MPP Michael Gravelle has held this riding since 1995, when most of it was known as Port Arthur. The gap between him and the NDP candidate has closed in recent elections, but in 2011 he won by over 2,500 votes.
